Frans van Drimmelen

Frans van Drimmelen (1965) is founder and director. Within our firm Frans advises companies, governments, and organizations about public affairs and corporate communication.
Next to Dröge & Van Drimmelen (Dr2), Frans is active in several boards; for example as the treasurer for the Ooievaart Foundation, member of the Supervisory Board of Amref Flying Doctors, board member of the “Prinsjesdagontbijt” and member of the Partner Council of the CSR Netherlands “Koplopernetwerk”. Earlier he was a member of the Board of Advice for Dutch Sustainable Business. Frans is co-founder of the Dutch Association for Public Affairs Professionals, of which he was Chairman until 2013. Also, Frans is part of the Expert Panel of Logeion association as a public affairs expert. In 2014 he published the “Handbook of Public Affairs” in the Netherlands.
Frans is politically active. He has been chairman of the national talent commission of Dutch political party D66, council member of D66 in Kaag en Braassem, acting national board member membership recruitment and funding of D66, until the end of 2004 treasurer of the national board and in 1999 and 2003 national campaign leader for the same party.
Before Frans founded Dr2, he gained broad experience as senior advisor at Bikker Communications, a staff member of the Dutch Employers Federation (VNO-NCW), and as Secretary-General of Young Management of VNO-NCW. At VU University in Amsterdam Frans studied political science. As a student, he was amongst others active in the student body of the VU University, where he became honorary member in 2004.
